Eligible businesses can apply for micro-grants, mitigating risks associated with expansion and enabling growth. We prioritize those businesses in our key industries of focus, interested in our targeted areas of growth, and fostering positive local economic impact. Start-ups under three years old are encouraged to apply. Our experts review applications and select recipients based on predetermined criteria, promoting diversity and a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. Grant recipients not only receive financial support but also gain access to resources and mentors for guidance throughout the expansion process. Navigator Expansion
Introducing Navigator Expansion, our growth funding program designed to support existing companies opening new locations in our targeted areas of growth: Mermaid Bay, Captain’s Cove, Mariner’s Bluff, and Anchor’s Rest. We provide financial assistance to help businesses seize the opportunities presented by these thriving areas. Eligible companies can apply for funding to establish new locations. The funds can be used for lease agreements, renovations, equipment, marketing, and staffing. Our objective is to foster expansion and entrepreneurship in the identified growth regions. By providing financial support, we mitigate barriers and risks associated with opening new locations, enabling businesses to capitalize on the potential. To qualify, companies must demonstrate a solid track record and a viable expansion plan. We prioritize businesses aligning with our growth areas, fostering positive local impact. Our goal is to leverage Ampersand Island’s strategic advantages, including its proximity to major shipping routes and existing transportation infrastructure, to attract businesses that can contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the maritime and logistics sector. To qualify for the Business Attraction Funding Program, businesses must demonstrate a strong value proposition, a viable business plan, and a commitment to long-term growth on Ampersand Island. We prioritize companies that align with the maritime and logistics sector and have the potential to bring economic benefits to the island and the surrounding community.
